Shorty da Prince is the new host of 106th and Park. He joins three new host, Bow Wow, Paigion and Miss Mykie. He was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri, but to pursue a career in Radio DJ and mass communications he moved to Detroit Michigan. There he worked on the radio alongside current co-worker Paigion. The two worked together for two years before auditioning for 106th.
During his tenure on the radio Shorty Da Prince had a small music career, he was a rapper. He signed to Atlantic records in 2007 for a 3 album deal. He released a song called Wah Wah Wow that made a small splash on the radio but failed to encourage the label to release a full album. So in 2009 he lost his deal. But before that at 14 years old rapper Nelly was interested in him. Shorty was popular in his hometown and generated a lot of buzz. He was signed to Track Boyz label and Nelly Air Force Ones.
After BET let go of Terrence and Rocsi due to lack of money, and both host were demanding a bigger salary the network was forced to let them go. Now Rocsi who claimed she would have a movie career, is standing on the street corners holding up signs, and Terrence is getting paid from E Network.
For his contract with BET Shorty Da Prynce is reportedly getting paid $300,000 a year for the first year. He signed a contract for one season but it looks like the network may decided to keep him, Paigion, and Miss Mykie a little bit longer. They bring a fresh appeal to the show along with the new bright and Fruity set.
